Ian Vest is a country singer/songwriter that hails from Southwest Virginia. He was raised on a farm in Floyd County, Virginia and currently resides in Fairfield, VA. Ian has had a passion for music for as long as he can remember. He started playing guitar and writing songs before he was 10 years old. Growing up, Ian regularly performed at Church and also was a member of a praise band during college.

In early 2022, Ian decided to seriously pursue his dream of being a country music artist. By the end of his first year, Ian had played over 50 shows and self released his first single, “Wrapped in Red White And Blue”. Since 2022, Ian has self released another two singles (“I Can’t Wait”, “Weekend Never Leaves”), played all over Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina, and has had amazing interactions with people who connect with his original songs. Currently, Ian balances working full-time, playing 70+ gigs a year, and continuing to release music.

Singing and songwriting are as natural to Ian as breathing, and he normally doesn’t go a week without writing a song. Ian has a style of country music that is distinctively his own but is also reminiscent of classic and traditional country. His songs are heavily influenced by his experiences, faith in God, family, and the things that truly matter. He believes that “country music, when it’s done right, is honest and can get at the heart of the human condition and make you feel connected to the writer or singer. It can make you feel happy or sad, but is always about the truth.”
